Friday, October 8th: Voter Registration Deadline

Online: On the DMV website, with a NYS driver’s license, permit, or Non-Driver ID, and Social Security Number

By Mail (Postmarked by October 8th, received by October 13th)

In Person: at your local Board of Elections office
Saturday, October 23rd–Sunday, October 31st: Early Voting

Tuesday, October 26th: Deadline to apply for an Absentee Ballot

We encourage you to apply for an Absentee Ballot earlier, by Friday, October 1st (Just a suggestion!)

Apply online, mail in an application (postmarked by October 26th), or in-person at your Board of Elections.

On your Absentee Ballot Application, check the box for “Temporary Illness” if you are voting absentee due to COVID-19, whether you are affected by COVID-19 or are voting absentee to stop the spread.
Monday, November 1st: Deadline to apply for an Absentee Ballot IN-PERSON

Go to your Board of Elections Office to request an absentee ballot in-person.
Tuesday, November 2nd: Election Day!

Polls are open 6 AM–9 PM for voting in-person. Find your polling place here.

This is the last day to drop off your absentee ballot in-person, to any Board of Elections Office or poll site by 9 PM.

This is the last day to postmark (mail) your absentee ballot, which must be received by November 9th.
